Kamala Harris accepted the prestigious NAACP’s Chairman’s Award over the weekend on Saturday February 22, 2025. She received a standing ovation and delivered the message that many of us needed to hear.
Former Vice President Kamala Harris follows a wide array of activists including John Lewis, Barack Obama, Maxine Waters, and Eric Holder, to name a few, to receive the award. As expected, upon accepting the award she delivered a powerful message of hope and a battle cry to not give up. She spoke about those of us who saw this was coming and are disheartened. She reminded us that we know exactly what we have to do because “we have done it before and we will do it again. We use our power. We organize, mobilize. We educate and we advocate.”
Regardless of what side of the aisle you stand on, what’s happening is wrong. This isn’t what America stands for. And if you really love America, then you should recognize when a foreigner is trying to tear it apart.
