The group that played a monumental role in getting the Arab American community to vote for Donald Trump are changing their name from Arab Americans for Trump to Arab Americans for Peace.
The name change comes after a week of Donald Trump saying that the United States will take over the Gaza Strip, that Palestinians need to be permanently removed from Gaza, and a friendly meeting with Israeli Prime Minster Benjamin Netanyahu in the white house. In the weeks leading up to the election, the group facilitated voter outreach for Trump, held rallies encouraging the Arab community to vote Trump through anti-Harris speakers and propaganda, leading to Donald Trump being the first Republican candidate to win Dearborn, Michigan. Dearborn is home to the largest concentration of Arab American in the United States.
